We're excited to announce that the new version of the ARES system is now live. This upgrade introduces numerous enhancements aimed at improving user experience, strengthening community engagement, and optimizing the review process.
What's New
ARES Community: Connect, Share, and Be Recognized
The new Community feature helps reviewers connect globally, share experiences, and build a stronger sense of participation.
● Real-time Points Updates. The Community displays live updates of reviewer points, so contributions and point rewards are visible instantly.
● Global Reviewer Search. Any user can search the entire reviewer database and view basic profiles, review history, and points status.
● Multiple Leaderboards. Users can check various rankings such as the Points Leaderboard, Active Reviewers of Last Month, and New Reviewers This Week.
● Feedback & Testimonials. The Community includes a feedback channel where reviewers can submit suggestions or comments. Selected feedback may be featured on the homepage Testimonials section.
A Cleaner, More Intuitive Interface
The new interface offers a cleaner layout and smoother navigation, making it easier to find what users need. Improved button interactions enhance responsiveness, while simple flowcharts in the “How It Works” section help users quickly understand the review process and points rules.
Optimized Functional Sections
We refined existing pages and added new sections to help users find information faster.
● Added "News" section. Stay updated on system improvements, academic events, and industry trends.
● "Journals" upgraded to "Members". Easier access to member journals and richer journal details.
● Improved "Contact Us" Page. Users can select the form that matches their specific needs, fill in the relevant details, and submit directly through the platform.
Why This Matters
This upgrade is more than a visual refresh—it is designed to make the ARES experience smoother, more transparent, and more rewarding.
Across different user needs and stages of engagement, the new ARES system offers clearer access to community information, reviewer activity, and platform workflows. It helps users better understand how peer review is organized, how contributions are recognized, and how the system operates in practice.
ARES will continue to listen to feedback from global scholars and enhance its functions and services. We sincerely invite all reviewers, authors, and editors to experience the new version and join hands in building a better academic review ecosystem.
